Tate Britain has rehung their contemporary section, Sixty Years of their “Walk through British Art,” and two works by Sunil Gupta are now on view. Untitled from the series, Reflections of the Black Experience, 1986 and Ian and Julian, from the series Ten Years On, 1986.

Vivan Sundaram’s photo installation, Terraoptics reviewed in the January 23rd issues of The Hindu and The New Indian Express. Terraoptics (14 Dec 2016 – 10 Feb 2017) will be on view at Gallery Sutra, Fort Kochi.

Annu Palakunnathu Matthew is one of the 40+ artists and scholars participating in CrossLines: A Culture Lab on Intersectionalitycreated by the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center.
During Memorial Day weekend, CrossLines will be a creative convening of art installations, performances and dialogues that explore the theme of intersectionality: identities as those formed through artistic, cultural and historic encounters across race, class, gender, sexuality and more.

Images by Annu Palakunnathu Matthew and Osamu James Nakagawa have been selected to be a part of Seattle’s 2016 City Panorama. These works will be installed in King County Metro shelters for up to 10 years.

This public art project is now in its sixth year, and has successfully continued to bring beauty and art to public spaces via this partnership with King County Metro and the Photographic Center Northwest (PCNW).
From the Smallest Leaf features Koichiro Kurita’s Maine photographs taken in his inimitable style. The selection on view of these timeless hand-made prints encompass Kurita’s philosophic view of nature, “Chi Sui Ki” (terrasphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere), and how the borders of these realms share with one another and ourselves.

Picture This at the Philadelphia Museum of Art featured the work of four contemporary photographers: Gauri Gill, Sunil Gupta, Max Pinckers, and Pamela Singh. “Diverse in nationality and place of residence, each of these artists brings a cosmopolitan perspective to his or her work. Whether photographing in rural Rajasthan or major cities like Mumbai or New York, they offer points of view that do not fit easily into categories of ‘insider’ or ‘outsider.’ ”

The Delhi Photo Festival 2015 (October 30 – November 8) will feature the exhibition Transitions and Trajectories: Photographs by Bhupendra Karia in conjunction with Apparoa Galleries at The Lodhi, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The exhibition which has been mounted in Mumbai and Jodhpur will now be on display at the Lodhi until 15 December 2015.

Nuit Blanche is a sunset-to-sunrise-all-night contemporary art event. Over 11,000 people viewed the projections.

Matthew’s An Indian from India series as well as her video installation, Open Wound and works from Sundaram’s Re-Take of Amrita and an installation of Indira’s Piano were on view alongside works by Gauri Gill, Jitish Kallat, Pushpamala N., Raqs Media Collective are on view.
